Merry Christmas GJ! Wanted to share progress of my flooring. I’ve been wanting to do this for years now especially since the epoxy has gotten to be terrible to look at. I’m planning to install over the next week myself. I’ll be cutting around the 2 post lift with everything else (including the 4 post) will be moved so I can install the floor and put it on top. The whole experience ordering with Jennifer was fantastic. I ordered on 12/18 and was at the terminal near my house 12/21. Father-in-law and I picked it up from the terminal the next day. It was 17 boxes all together and we were able to load the entire pallet in other than the top boxes that didn’t clear the cap. Really quick shipping and didn’t even leave RD until Monday as I ordered Friday late afternoon.

Will be tracking the progress and wil attempt to give some real hours to install having to move things, all the cuts, etc. This isn’t a huge garage at 24x32 but I have lots of things to move that may not be in the average home garage like a couple of lifts, air compressor, etc.

For starters, here’s some recent pics before install. My friends vette finally left on its own power after ten years.

Thanks guys for complements. Vette is my friends and we’ve been working on it for 10 years. Hard to believe it’s gone.

Started install today. My uncle needed the lift so figured it was a good time to actually have him over as I can work on floor while he’s working on CV axle and front rotors. And he’s there whenever I need a hand. Took me a long time but did all myself other than moving four post around to get tiles in. I have the core all done other than top by man door, windows, tool box, compressor and cabinets. Actually I do have a lot more to go!

As expected, floor went in great and was a snap. I need to contact RD and ask why so many of the Blue Diamond has broken loops. That was my only complaint and I doubt it happened from them but R&L. Boxes were perfect but you can see they must have taken some impact. So far I’m using the 24 tiles with damage on cuts so no big deal but kinda annoying. It would have been nice if it only affected some but literally took out the whole box on two boxes.

I started at 11am and finished at 6pm. Note that I had to move a lot of ****! If this was an empty garage without bolted down compressor, lift, and lots of stuff it would have been done.

Here’s progress during the day.

That is shipping damage from dropping the heavy boxes on their ends. UPS did the same thing with my brother's order when we ordered RaceDeck for his garage a couple of years ago. RaceDeck customer service was excellent and shipped replacements out right away once he documented the damaged for them.

Thanks Shea. They were shrink wrapped on pallets from RD and shipped via R&L but I’m thinking same deal horizontal banged them.

Your garage looks great! On the damaged tiles, it appears to be some sort of impact during shipping and we will happily send you the 24 replacements at not charge. Contact Lauren at our office and she will take care of asap.
Happy Holidays!

Ok, floor is done!

Wednesday: it took 5 hours (with a friend to help) to move everything along the window wall and right side where I have my air compressor, press, and two Steelcase storage cabinets. This included cutting the pieces and moving everything back in place. What a PITA! My uncle dropped off his table saw which made all the cuts quick. Friend cut and I cleaned up pieces of burrs and installed.

Yesterday: it took another solid 4 hours to wrap up the pieces between the garage doors and around the two post lift. Found that my jigsaw made the best cuts for the angles here despite my bad carpentry skills.

Love the look and have had positive comments from everyone that’s seen it in person.

Thanks! I’m not proud of the cuts but I’m not a finish carpenter and it shows lol.

I’m going to get some of the male ramp edging by the man door as there’s a slight rise in concrete in this area that, 1.Peeled up carpet due to the low clearance and 2. Slightly too tall for the diamond. It’s such a small section that I don’t want to use the Free Flow there as there’s not much meat when using such small pieces here. And why I did use free flow at the next section.

Couple more pics today after some quick clean up.

I don't understand the free flow self draining tiles, what happens when oil or liquid gets in there?

It will need to be cleaned up if you care to. The main reason for me is for snow/rain to drain from bringing car/truck in. I don’t do work that makes large messes but if I did I would pop out the tile(s) out and clean.

Great looking floor, I like the colors you chose. I'm new to the forum but I will be placing an order with Racedeck shortly for my new (to me) garage. Again, looks great!

Thanks all! We’ve already had another snow the other day and can personally say that the free flow is awesome. Very little mess as the snowy/slush junk drops down and through the tiles and dries quickly with the **** going below. Awesome product, company, customer service!

Thank you and really wish I didn’t wait so long. You'll be extremely happy I’m certain. I dealt with Jennifer who was great to work with but everyone there has been excellent to deal with.

Added the extra carpet and the edging at the man door. Still loving the free flow with the crappy weather we’re having here. Few pics of the tiles with slop and snow too.
