Hey guys, just wanted to share with you my new shop construction process.
I had a 24'x24' detached shop behind my old home. It didnt take long before I grew out of it. My wife and I decided it was time to upgrade.

Here are a few pictures of my old garage, the first few pictures were taken in 2011 after I moved in. The last photo was taken a week or two before i moved out in 2017.

Cool drone shots (assume). Interesting floor plan. From elevation plan, wouldn’t know there was a huge shop attached. Good job. Like the “secret” rear stairs to basement.

Thank you. Photos were taken with a dji mavic pro. Kinda nice having the capability to see progress from the air. The stairs are going from the shop to basement. The basement will be a future mancave with a bar and pool table

Cool place and congrats and the new house and shop. My wrenching area is 18 x 40 and even with a lift is a very workable area. I bet this is way out of the norm for that neighborhood, has anyone been asking you any questions about it?

Thank you, that is reassuring about the shop size, I was slightly worried about the narrower width (compared to my old shop). It seems very usable now, hopefully after i move all my tools in it will feel the same haha.

Sweet setup!!

Thanks!

Looks great.

Going to be following this as my garage addition is going to basically be the mirror image of yours (building a 24x38 on to the front of my existing 22x22 car garage).

little update on the shop build. built a 5x20' shelf along the back wall because of the wasted space from the walk out. Walls and ceiling are painted, most of the lighting is up. Getting the garage floor prepped for epoxy now. The railing is finished in the house. my honey-do list is getting pretty long lol. Thanks for the gander :)

That's a killer looking staircase and an equally impressive house! Very different layout of which I haven't seen before. Nice!

What size is that garage door on the right? That really changes the looks up a lot being a non ordinary size. At least it looks that way??

I'm as bright as I look in the picture above.
I love the additional garage setup and the stairs into the basement. I am wondering about the dark colored ceiling... the look is great, you don't see that too often, but does that make it darker in garage? (hard to believe with all those LEDs)

X...

Beautiful place. Any chance you could share the upstairs plans? I'm building a new place soon and kinda want to steal some ideas.

It’s actually really interesting, the colors in the garage seem way more vivid. My guess is because of the non reflection off the ceiling. This sounds mad but that’s the only way I can discribe it.

Yes I can find them, the upstairs is a theater room with a media closet. Since it’s over the garage it’s insulated on all 6 sides.
