Hi, lilerdex,

I went through all my S-K extras looking for older sockets and found:

S-K Wayne 1/4"dr
40911 - 11/32"
40909 - 9/32"
3/8" deep

S-K and S-K Wayne 3/8"dr
9/16" x 7/8" overall, but rough
7/8"
13/16"
3/8"
13mm
7/16" deep 1-3/4"

S-K 1/2" dr - the old Duro-Chrome style
19/32" - very rare
7/16"

You can have them all for $20.00 shipped or best offer

thnx, jack vines

Thanks jack for that offer, you're on the right track sort of. Unfortunately I do not need those sizes at present.

Hate to be so picky, but what I am attempting to do, is replace some that are damaged through wear, in sets that I bought around 1954 as a kid just beginning my tool collection. The sets came in their own specially designed green boxes with the "Sherman-Klove" Diamond tags attached inside.

They look much like these in Fig #5 (below link) and are marked with the part #, SK and the size. There are no drive recesses as referred to in Fig #6, think that feature was reserved for the larger sizes.

Always trying to help. FWIW, it has been my experience old tools are not always around when one needs a particular P/N. If a duplicate presents itself at a reasonable price, I grab it and put it on the shelf. (Of course, that's why I'm tool-broke and out of storage space :>)

Jack, are the sockets you listed 6 or 12 pt? I have a master list of needed sockets that I use whenever I see lots come up on here. Some of those sizes you have, I need, but it depends on 6 or 12 pt.

Also, what does this mean...I don't get the "x" part...do you mean you have 9/16 and 7/8 sizes that are both rough?

"9/16" x 7/8" overall, but rough"

Actually, Jack, I am sending you a PM.

All the sockets have been located and received. Thanks to all who looked, and special thanks to Snappy and Rickster who had them and were kind enough to send them to me. What a great board!!

OK, here they are. Kind of a starting point for me in 1954 (and it was a big deal then)

Thanks for the pics. I know it's a good feeling to have a complete set again. I'm trying to complete an old 1/4dr Mac set myself. I need to post a WTB.
