Edit September 2018: I've added about 100 more pieces to this, see my last post. Same price as before, but I'll pay the shipping. So, you get 1000 pieces or so of CM, for the price of $1250 shipped. All you see in the photo's plus about 100 more pieces, including about 25 wrenches and at least one nice complete set of 1/4" metric sockets and ratchets in a plastic box. I think I threw in another socket set also, but don't remember exactly what it was.
I've taken some comments that more photo's would be good; I've added a bunch of more detailed photos at the bottom. I counted, and came up with 896 pieces, plus some smaller pieces like nut driver insert bits. So, really close to 900; no guessing. The wrench sets that I thought were there aren't, not sure where they went, but you can see the extra wrenches (not sets) that are included. There's most of a nice set of long dbe. The crows feet and hex sockets are metric. The sockets are split unevenly, probably 2/3 SAE and 1/3 metric.
Let's put a more realistic price on it: Say $1250 plus shipping, I expect about 6 flat rate boxes at $18+ apiece; lets just cap that at $75, and I'll pay anything above that. So, $1325 delivered; or make me an offer, or pick up in person in Eastern Oregon.
These are all good tools,
Comments were made on a thread in general tools the other day that the Craftsman 900 piece set for $1600 would be a good deal if the tools were made in USA instead of China. Well, I'll see how that goes: I'll offer 900 Craftsman tools for $1600, and pay shipping. And, no filler; these will all be sockets, wrenches, ratchets, and simialr real tools, no allen wrenches or such.
The deal is that they're mostly sorted out into sets by metric, SAE, shallow, deep, drive size, and 6 or 12 point. I won't guarantee that all sizes and all configurations are present, but it's probably pretty close. Sizes range from about 3/16" to 1 1/4". All are USA Craftsman; some are older V and VV series, a lot of G and E and such too. I think there's most of a full range of both SAE and Metric wrenches. Most are in excellent to very good condition, probably less than 5% have any rust or blemishes. What you can't use will make excellent trading stock or sell on ebay for a profit to cover the cost of what you keep.
Now, I'm not entirely sure that I have 900 craftsman. I'm close. I'll count them out as I pack them, and if I run out of Craftsman, I'll fill in the rest with Proto. If I run out of Proto, I'll fill them in with Snap-on. (don't expect that, I have more than enough Proto to fill out the 900)!
I'm putting up a few representative pictures.
Paypal is fine, and I'll eat the fees. Or, money order or check. I'd suggest Paypal for YOUR protection.
I'll ship out priority mail, you'll have them in hand within 4 or 5 days.
