FWIW, I think your proto 3/8 (5249) is a lot newer than the range specified. I can't tell for certain but it might be fairly recent manufature. It's not the traditional old pearhead, it has scallops and chrome that indicate newer. It's in nice shape and a serious bargain. Deserves a bump and a recommendation. Would buy it but I think I have one just like it.

EDIT: Yeah, just checked the garage, the 5249 you're selling is relatively recent manufacture. The old ones have less "meat" on the head and don't have the scallop with an edge at 4 and 8 o'clock.
