Well guys I wouldn't normally waste both yours and my time posting a wrench rack review but in this case, I had too.

I recently bought a 26 piece toptul wrench set. And after looking high and low for racks that could handle that count in one fail swoop lead me to either these or matco (which appeared absolutely identical except for those being double the cost and came in boring black). ;)

So today was a test fit day and here's what I found. All the placements are identical in depth and spacing. That meant in this case I had to double space the larger wrenches in order to fit the entire kit. It works, but it puts my OCD into overdrive. The upside to this configuration is it will fit into a 24" deep drawer, but that's it.

So I finally set these up today and was able to utilize the double spacing to my advantage. After rearranging my main metric wrench drawer I was left with nowhere to stick my super extra long toptul combo's. So I hid the 23mm in the back and filled all those spaces up with my set that goes from 10-19mm. It worked out pretty slick if you can live with it, I sure can ;)

For some reason I'm not able to get their site to open. Maybe they're doing some maintenance. I'll get it for you tomorrow Richard.

Lowes has some 2-piece racks like that. Every Lowes that I have been to carry them. Great fix you came with. I'll be setting up my Vidmar soon thanks for the ideas.

I too used the Lowes racks when setting up my new box a couple years ago.

My OCD was well satisfied and enjoyed setting up a new box.

No ****, I'm in lowes all the time in Mo valley and have never seen these there. After doing that drawer I redid my metric flare wrench and odd ball drawer with the extra set I bought, now I want one more set for the SAE flare wrench drawer it worked out so well. I'll have to go do a double take at lowes.

thanks for the link and thanks for letting me know that lowes has them also Mr.B.

Been looking for a wrench rack of that size for my Vidmar cabinets, thanks for the link.

They fit like a glove in these drawers. It really helped clean up my other metric drawer since a majority of the wrenches are all the same width. The other major bonus is if you leave them full length they don't shift if the drawer gets slammed. I finally go fed up with the Ernst racks and pinned them in place since my son can't seem to understand the concept of closing them easily.

Actually, the ones lowes sells aren't the same they're taller as the sizes change.

Mobile distributor supply actually sell a couple of different versions of the wrench rails. The 35 wrench rail is pretty much a clone of the popular snap on kra15a wrench rails. Low profile and all of the cut outs are the same size.

The second type of rails are a two piece magnetic rail setup that the cut outs get larger and taller further back. These are sililar to the Ernst made rails.

im not sure how I feel about that double spacing. those extra spots between would shift my ocd into overdrive.

can you not use the double spacing and use them like normal spacing or is there not enough room to clear the larger wrenches beside each other? I cannot fathom having a 10mm beside a 18mm lol

and lastly is it exactly 24" or was it cut down to fit the drawer tight? with the addition of my second green box I'm trying to reorganize my box and separate metric and SAE since they were always JAMMMMMMMMED into one drawer. but the 27" deep drawers are playing difficult finding wrench holders that don't waste a ton of space

You don't have a problem with the longitudinally placed wrenches sliding out of the rack?

I tried it and had to rearrange to find transverse positions.

No, all the racks that are 90 degrees to slidation (my don king word of the day) are in gripper racks so they don't move. Not exactly the best solution but pretty much the only because of the lay out.

What you can't see is most of the time I'm off to the right of the drawer, so that style lay out actually helps.

Ya the wrenches are just too fat to fit side by each until you get below a 22mm. And don't get me wrong, the OCD deal had the mock up sitting on my bench for a couple weeks contemplating my options, which there just wasn't any short of machining my own rack. who knows, it might make me crazy and get changed but for now I'm ok with it. Besides how many times do you come across a 19mm wrench that's almost as long as a 32 so it does kinda of work ;)

Let me double check the exact measurement. I'm pretty certain they're exactly 24 but it's possible they're 23.5 too.

Turns out they are 23.4" long X 1"H
