As first reported in the 2018 Garage Sale thread on the General Discussion Board, I found this thing - shaped like a supersized playing jack - at my flea market this morning and didn't even hesitate. Regardless of what it is, it will end up on a shelf somewhere in my old house as an objet d'art.
I could be wrong, but it doesn't look automotive related to me. I have antique era multi-tools, usually associated with different size drain plugs, all square or rectangular.
Other than the end with the wide service wrench jaws, there are five other ends, each with their own distinct shape, that look like "keys", of a sort, to me, to be inserted into an opening of the same shape. That feature reminds me of a tool I found last year associated with maintaining printing presses (if I recall correctly - maybe 3bay can prod me on that). That one had three different ends, and is shown last below.
This tool is made of forged steel. If it was ever marked, the marking is long gone.
All thoughts welcome.
