Thats all I use now. I never use dry any more. Just make sure to blow dry if its raw steel as it will start rusting quickly.

I’ve never had any luck with just a sand suction wand. Have to think this is no different? Interesting if it does work without issues

I emailed Power Eagle about the type of media their kit can use and here's the response

"Good morning Shawn,
You can really use any type of media with our wet sandblast kit. I've used mostly Black Beauty (coal slag) 20-40, and Jetmag (synthetic olivine) 30-60. I've had good luck with these products. Best thing is to try a bunch of products and grades and see what you like best".

My kit was $95, I gave it a half assed test, did not like the suction aspect. I need to drag it back out and try feeding it with a real low pressure feeding abrasive from a pressure pot.

So what’s the attraction to these? Just that you don’t need a respirator? Thought it would be like dustless blasting but that vid looks slower then just sand blasting

vhol5,

What type of materials do you blast? Steel, aluminum, sheet metal?

4+ gpm pressure washers are ... pretty substantial units.

.

I have blasted both aluminum and steel.
I use a 3000psi. 3gpm pressure washer. Works great!
That's not the same setup that I have though. I think I paid less than $50 for mine...

Mine is a different brand but looks identical, I liked it so much I bought my bro one too. One of ours is a BE, the other is Valley industries.

In the beginning I was using bags of dry silica sand I bought years ago. After I ran out of sand it turns out I cant buy sand in my area due to some health reason. At the time they recommended just sand. So I switch to glass, it works ok. I don't think having glass blowing all over the place can be too safe either. I always use a respirator, the stuff still gets everywhere. I want to try some other stuff to see what works best. I see they have since updated the manual, they do recommend different media for doing different things. Here is a link for the one I have, https://images11.palcdn.com/hlr-system/Documents/80/806/8067/8067399_manual.pdf
