I take pictures in the shop all the time so its kinda of second nature.

I find "The what did you do in your garage today" threads covers some tools, as does the "show us your tool box" thread and "show us your new tools" thread, but it seems theirs lacks :headscrat a dedicated thread to tools being used...

So here it goes lets see your tools getting used in any shape or form...
dirty or clean, at home, work, or even at the track lets see em....

:needpics:

The last big job I did was an 05 ford Taurus got an ac compressor, drier and orifice tube and recharge, valve covers gaskets, thermostat, heater core piping, coolant flush, upper manifold gasket, manifold cleaning, belt, idler and tensioner pulleys.

some tools used in the process

I had to wash the motor it was filthy due to a leaking rear valve

If you're open to alternative definitions of tools, I'll play along.

I'm drafting our next project at the moment, so my main tools:
Rhino 3d modeling software
Logitech G600 gaming mouse
3dconnexion SpacePilot Pro 3d mouse
Dell 27" 4k screen
Coffee

If it weren't a confidential project I'd take a picture of my workstation with all sorts of drawings, pictures, and papers scattered about. I tend to work messy, even if this portion of it is just in the office.

Alexander that’s really cool its been 10 years since I’ve been involved in the CAD trade...
Would definitely like to see the setup... def a tool in my book.

A lot less then you think because it was a Friend and their giving the car to their kid...
but around $1050 with parts and larbor. I have deals with few clients like this, they bring not only this car back for any future work, but multiple. Another mechanic told her 1000 just to do the AC work...

My “Brother in law“ drives a newer Honda accord a shop quoted him $900 for a brake job just the fronts. My cost for parts was under 200, and 2 hours of shop time I charged 150. Out the door done right for under $350. I don’t deal like that all the time with customers, but I’ll beat prices like that all day long...

Too funny. Just did the belt on an 03 Taurus this past weekend. Way easier than I thought it would be.

Where in the NE are you?
