SOLD Prentiss Bulldog 528 vise
SOLD
I figured I would give this a shot here before posting on craigslist.
For your consideration is a Prentiss Bulldog 528 vise that I restored to working condition. The original owner of this vise was a ham-fisted welder who no doubt used the slide to knock the slag off his work. Prentiss vises were notorious for cracking on the back of slide, and this one was no different, unfortunately. As you can see it was repaired, but I had to grind the side of the slide down so it would move again. It may be ugly, but it is perfectly functional. It's also very heavy at over 140 pounds. I will also disclose that the bolt and wrench used to secure the base are missing, but you should be able to use a carriage bolt and wing nut in its place.
Management here at the homestead has mandated that any transactions take place at a neutral sight, such as a police station parking lot in the Hartford area. This is my first time selling anything online, so please give me a chance.
I'm asking $200, but no reasonable offers will be refused. This vise has lived a hard life but it's ready for more action!
