Just ordered a set using free shipping code 121380 from lametec. Hell 13, 14, 15 and 17mm covers most domestic and import bases. Thanks Stuey and lametec for the info!

I did order from Northern Tool's website, not Amazon.

I bought both of these sets back in early JAN., from Northern.

They are fairly handy. I would really like to get the 3/-- 7/16 version as well.

$22 for four wrenches while the average price for one wrench is about $35. Yikes, the deal is even hotter than I thought! Free shipping rocks, and so does lametec for sharing that bit of info.

I have a full set of GearWrench half moon shaped wrenches that I got for cheap from Sears..

They're still in the packaging. These will probably end up the same way, but the way I look at it, I spent $20 for tools that I might need one day, and when that day comes they'll be priceless.

In for both metric and SAE. :)

my biggest concern is not being able to find the 10 x 12mm at a reasonable price. Otherwise it ruins the whole deal

I just ordered both sets, but realized that the SAE set is described as an "obstruction" set, even though the picture shows the "S" wrench.

Isn't an "obstruction" wrench a half moon shape, and not the "S" shape? I also noticed that the 5 pc MM set has a different combination of sizes, so it doesn't seem like the 2 pc set comes from the larger 5 pc set.
The part numbers are also weird. Compare the Northern # with the listed model #. It's like they are reversed

I'm sure you'll find a use for them. People say they never use moon-shaped wenches or S-shaped ones. I've used my set of S-Shaped ones loads of times, used one today and a couple days ago. Very handy, and often the only tool that'll work.

Hmm, it's strange that the wrenches wouldn't be the same as the ones of those sizes in the larger sets. I wonder why. Maybe that's why these are 2pc sets? Perhaps Northern has had these in the warehouse for too long and just wants to clear them out?

Stuey, I again 'bless you" with kudos for finding deals for us. Placed my order this AM. Wish they had more sizes available at that price!

It’s like freakin Christmas here today! I just ordered some of Mike Wren’s clearance wrenches, had a “Woot” order for a car wash kit delivered, and just now my “S” wrenches came. So far they look and feel good. A good feature I was wondering about was it has the reverse lever on both sides of the tool.

If anyone doesn't know about Woot they offer 1 product every day and charge $5 shipping no matter what it is. You can get some great deals I got the Mr. Clean Auto Dry carwash kit for $7.99 shipped, it's not the best but beats the quarter carwash.

I ordered them when they went on sale last time. I haven't used them. Haven't found a need for them.
