Wow, now that is the collection to end all collections.
It would take a life time to find the tools to fill the boards.
But how much fun it would be.
So what is the story on all of these.
Did he or his family own a hardware store?
Do tell us more and if you have any more pictures keep posting please. Rich

He Started collecting tools when his dad had some car dealerships and then owned a True Value for a while. It is truly an amazing collection. I can’t even describe it.
He has old oak hardware store cabinets loaded with stuff. Like the picture of the drawer full of chisels but 15-20 drawers per cabinet and 12 cabinets of stuff. I have been privileged to explore for 30 plus hours of picking and I haven’t seen it all. I wish I was more knowledgeable on antique tools but he certainly is. He knows the “story” behind so much of his collection.
Sample pics of the tools he still has. More modern tools have been kinda picked through but this seemed like a goldmine for GJ subscribers so I joined and began posting. My dad liked old tools so I have a bit of appreciation for them but not like you all.

I may not have mentioned this but he is selling EVERYTHING!! With the hope it is going to people who appreciate it and that have cash :) Not looking for flippers but it all has to go eventually so that’s why I came here to GJ to help him with this adventure and start with the truly dedicated enthusiasts.

What an incredible collection. I’m in awe. I wish someone with alot of money, time, and love of tools could buy it out and set up a museum.

Thanks so much for sharing this on the forum. By the way, you may have confirmed that my metal Billings sign is off a tool board.

Suddenly I feel as if I don't own even a single tool.

The history behind it all just boggles the mind.

Neat to see how the tools I buy at flea markets and yard sales were actually displayed when they were new. Thanks for posting pics.

You must be intercepting my texts! I've already got it mapped out. Twelve (12) hours from DC. With a tag team driving partner that's a one day out one day back gas station stops only trip. If I only knew someone who may be interested in tool boards who lives in the DC area. :)

No Craig’s List tire kickers invited yet. So far was word of mouth until I posted here to real enthusiastic collectors.
It is literally impossible to believe with out seeing. I can only showing off the tool boards right now. If anyone has an interest in a particular board closeup shoot a PM.
He needs to open up more floor space to display what he has in boxes, chests, cabinets, shelfs and drawers. As we get deeper in I’ll show off individual tools by brand.

More pics...Herbrand

St Louis County
What an incredible collection. I’m in awe. I wish someone with alot of money, time, and love of tools could buy it out and set up a museum.

Thanks so much for sharing this on the forum. By the way, you may have confirmed that my metal Billings sign is off a tool board.

A museum was talked about but it’s not feasible for him. Now he wants to share the love of tools.
Glad the pics are not just fun but helpful also. For detailed pics shoot me a PM.
