My work bought two battery chargers by R-N Industries. These are the high end models and run around $420 each, model number H624. Absolutely one time where buying something based on being USA was a bad choice. Paint job is terrible, sheet metal fitment is sloppy, screws are crooked, cheap little wheels that don't even fit the bolts used for axles, and the handle height is made for a child. The older Napa charger these were supposed to replace is a much higher quality product. I'll add pictures when I figure out how to.

That looks like it was damaged and recouped by the carrier along the way. Who signed for it? What did the carton look like? You have about 30 days to file a concealed damage claim.
You can see the styrofoam bits clinging to the back, so something happened.

Western tools are rarely that much better than decent tools made in the east, both in fit + finish & operation.
I'd send them back and just get the cheaper version if it worked fine for you, looks more than just shipping damage to me.

**** my 2HP motor is all cracked by the UPS monkey dropping it..... yesterday... will have to spend all day filing with the seller today probalby after taking some pics....

I think there should be a common sense test then a reality check before people are allowed to post. I know it even happens to me, but that is so clearly not a manufacturing issue.

I had a P160 and it took about a year after I paid to get. First off George who took my order and credit card info forgot to place it. After 2 months I called back and he forgot. Then he forgot to charge shipping to Hawaii so I called again. Finally got the charge and the fit and finish was awful. Meter, selector switches and indicator light were crooked. The chassis smelled like Krylon and I scratched some of the paint off with my fingernail. My buddy wanted a USA made charge so I sold it to him. I ended up getting a CTEK charger after the NOCO died.
And that photo you added, it's not from shipping damage as mine looked exactly like yours. It's packed in thick Styrofoam in a double wall box and the box wasn't damaged.

No the shipping box was is perfect shape, I don't know if you can see it but the corner in the picture can't be damaged without damaging the parts above and below it. The painting job is very poor all over and the screws are driven in crooked all over the charger.
Doesn't take much special skill to see a manufacturer riding the made in USA with nothing else to justify their pricing so I'll pass on the testing.
Andell I'm sorry you had a similar experience with them. We won't be returning them as they took forever to be shipped and I doubt the next set would be any better.

How bout a full shot of the unit, I will say what's shown,,,, not looking very good. That glob of paint or sag ain't no shipping damage, and the panel ripples not from shipping.

Sounds like I dodged a bullet. I tried ordering one, and it fell thru after three months. I wound up with an Associated 1002b.
