Looking good. I broke ground on my 30x40x12 in July. I am STILL working on it. Hope to be done by the first week in January.

Looks great. Like the colors as well.

What will you being doing in it?

Dumb question why 3 man doors?

What did you trench besides power? How far did you trench?

Looking good, best of luck to you with the new Man cave..

How is the sewer going back? Hard to tell from pictures of the grade. That far from the house are you going to put a driveway to it or is it accessible from the back side of your property?

Looks great, very close colors to my shop. This may be a silly question, but is a 1" gas line large enough for a 200' run? I'm by no means an expert, but I am putting in a 1 1/4" line to my shop and its only a 35' run to the shop then another 20-30' inside the shop that I will be running in 1". It's natural gas and I am going to be feeding a 125,000 BTU unit heater. (I also like a little overkill but maybe I read the charts wrong.)

I'm not sure about him but I am planning a 1" line out to my shop (300' from house 400' total from meter) I will be having the meter regulator replaced with a 2 psi regulator to make it work. With a 2 psi regulator 1" line is good for something like 700k btu's at that distance if I remember correctly. Then each appliance will have a regulator down to the standard 1/3 psi. It's the only way to do a run that long without a 2" line or something ridiculous.

On another note, the shop looks great, I like the darker colors. Are the headers on the side for a future porch/carport??

The grade back to the house grinder pump is slightly uphill, I am putting in a grinder pump and pumping the 1 1/2" line back to my existing sewer system.

I have a driveway I put down with 8" of millings for access.

Yes I added double 2x12 ledger boards on both sides for future overhangs The town counts overhangs as square footage and I used all of my variance for the pole barn, thats another battle I will have.

tricountytrail,

Another silly question, do you think you would ever put a lift in there?

What are the 5 conduits for going across your floor for?

Electrical feeds from main box to pull boxes under concrete. 2 are for pex water lines to get water to the other side of the shop. Once I get them all in and the plumbing I will add 2" of more stone then 2" of Insulation, mesh then pex then 6" on concrete.

Probably looking at 4 post advantage lift.

Do I see a pipe that just ends? It look likes its about even with the overhead door and the 4th pvc pipe sticking up?

Looks like it is coming along nicely, good for you.

Good eye I put in a couple lengths like that to feed a thermo couple for temperature readings if I want. It will come up in the stub wall.

Great looking building. I like the high sidewalls and upper windows! Will it be high enough above the surrounding grade so the underfloor conduit isn't always in water. I realize your floor is probably 10" minimum higher than when you first posted pics, but it looked like the only standing water was inside the structure in the first pics, or are you planning on drain tubing around the outside?

Gutter Drains and area drains are next it has been TOO wet do do any site work. I have a 6" drain out to the ditch that everything will tie into. I dug a ditch to that temporary to get water out of the barn to get rid of that standing water.
Now that the floor is in I can start working on that except more rain is in the forecast.

The contractor I used saw cut it this evening.
28 days is time concrete takes to cure. "Shouldn't" put heavy equipment or anchor anything into the slab until its cured.
6-7.5" thought-out the slab, 8-9" at the overhead door thresholds. Overkill but it'll work.
Interior floor is 40'x60', exterior lean-to's are 10'x15' and 10'x60'.
I'm very lucky, the concrete contractor is a family friend, he did it for cost of materials and labor for his crew.
