How to get Amazon.de to trace a package?

NO NEED TO RESPOND, SITUATION APPEARS TO BE RESOLVED

Maybe someone here can point me in the right direction.

Ordered a Stahlwille wrench set 11/24/18, item showed paid and shipped. Tracking shows the item clearing customs once, then clearing customs again a few days later. 12/3 the package is "tendered to local postal carrier for delivery". 12/4 it is tendered to local carrier again, then 12/5 it says "A carrier delay has occurred, delivery may be delayed".

OK fair enough I thought, USPS is probably pretty backed up at Christmas. Time to exercise my patience. It's not a gift to anyone but myself.....

At this point it is right at a month since the order, almost 3 weeks since package was tendered to local carrier, and no package.

How do I get Amazon.de to find it, or send out a new one?
The site only gives me the opportunity to cancel or return orders. Can't return what I don't have, and I'd rather not cancel since it was a smokin' good deal.

Any expertise?

I ordered some Knipex pliers off Amazon.de a few months ago. The status emails they send are confusing and seemingly inaccurate. I'd wait a bit longer and see what happens.

The optimist in me says it's in a big pile of items with small customs paperwork issues that someone needs to handle at USPS, and they'll get to it after Christmas.

The pessimist in me says it is stolen, lost, or in the twilight zone never to be seen again.

Does it tell you the post office in what city ? We had issues when our small local post office switched to a counter window only open 4 hrs/day.

I ordered knipex pliers from amazon.de and it showed “out for delivery” for weeks. I contacted amazon.de customer service and they assumed it was lost sent out another one and told me to keep or donate the lost one if it ever showed up. I got the new one quickly and a couple of months later the one that was “lost” arrived.

This is the info on my shipment from the site, (and I've removed the tracking ID):

Boy that was quick. Someone over there working after midnight answered my email. Looks like they'll be sending a replacement shipment.

And BTW if anyone wants to know how to access customer support, you have to go to your order confirmation email which includes a link toward the end of the email. As best I can tell there is no customer support link available from the webpage.

Amazon.de customer service is excellent, much better than the **** indian call center you have to deal with at Amazon.com

As best I can tell there is no customer support link available from the webpage.

Here are the links, for next time.

I'm in almost the exact same boat....like you it is a Stahlwille wrench set placed on the 27th instead of the 24th. They told me if it isn't here by the 27th of December to contact them again for a refund/new shipment. Mine was shipped without any tracking system so who knows what happened to it. They used Asendia which I have heard is not the most reliable international delivery service.

I ordered 12 pairs of Knipex circlip pliers, one set of 8, and 4 singles, came in three deliveries. I think only one had tracking info, the others were carriers that I'd never heard of and didn't provide tracking info - I guess that's how Amazon can ship so cheaply from Europe. One package came quicker than expected, maybe 2 weeks, the other was a month or more. JiminAZ - I think you may end up with 2 sets of wrenches.

I opted for a refund, if it shows up that's great but with Christmas bills stacking I think I'll opt for a lower credit bill and reorder them in a month or two when Christmas is paid for.....hope the price doesn't go up (global politics).

The second shipment showed up good to go. The first shipment is still MIA and at this point I can say I'm happy.

My package is also still MIA and at this point I would be shocked if it showed up. A free set of Stahlwille wrenches is now just a dream.
