Hi, my name is Brynjar and I thought I would share my garage evolution.
I have been watching and reading this forum since 2011, getting ideas and dreaming of one day having my own garage.
In 2015 I bought an apartment that came with a small garage, it was a mess!
The cabinets had water damage and where falling apart, there was sketchy electrical wiring and it all had to go.
So the first job was demolition, then during the past 3 years I have been building my dream, here are a few pics of the process.

How it looked in 2015 when I bought it. I demoed the cabinets and took down all the shelves, then started painting walls, floor and ceiling with "bathroom" damp proof paint, so when I have a wet car inside or if water splashes on the walls, its not a problem.

The process:
I had to start by modifying the pluming on the wall to have a separate sink and garden hose faucets. Then put pen to paper and start designing the cabinets I would then build myself.
I had an electrician come and look at the wiring and add a few more fuses for new lights as well as add more electrical sockets, there where only 3 at first but now I have 11.
I dont have a pic of the plans I drew for the cabinets, but the next job was to start building.
The largest cabinet was to large to transport in the car, so I just assembled it in the garage. The cabinet is mounted on the wall, but I thought it had to be able to take a lot of weight so I also custom built adjustable legs to put under the cabinets, they had to be adjustable because the floor is not level and I had plans of putting tiles later, so I could just raise the legs and lay the tiles under them.

The rest of the cabinets I partly assembled at my fathers wood shop and transported them to the garage.
Then it was time for the doors, I knew I did not want white or dull grey.. I needed something more interesting...
And if your'e interested, the door handles where from IKEA and the sound system in my garage is just an old home theater system I no longer used in my living room.
I spent a lot of time thinking about flooring, I knew I did not want just regular floor tiles, I wanted what I had seen here on GJ,
Racedeck tiles! and finaly in 2017 I had the chance to import them here to Iceland, it was expensive but worth it!
