I didn't fall for it because Amazon can likely import the same stuff w/o going through HF.
Thats not such a far fetched possibility...i like to touch and feel prior to purchase....for cheap *** chicom **** amazon is fine...if i really want high quality tools i am very hesitant to order ftom amazon....i will never mail order a tool box for instance thru amazon....stuff is usually dented and returns are more work to me....at least with HF damaged product returns are easy....yea i can see amazon going to brick and mortar then they can deal with same problems as sears did

I once got duped by a radio station talking about a they city's announcement about tearing up a main artery to the city I lived in and installing a canal from the river that passed us. I spent a good portion of the morning beliving that one. They made it sound so legit.

I thought, You know, if Amazon DID buy HF, at least when I got to the register, I would automatically receive whatever discounts should apply and I wouldn't have to play HF's game of "No,sir. YOU have to show us the coupon or the ad for every item that's on sale in order to get the sale price or member price". Being a member entitles you to certain discounts...but only if you work at it.
