I haven't seen much chatter about these since some photos when they were first announced, which made me a little surprised to see them for sale at my local Runnings. I only played with them in the packaging since I wasn't excited enough to pay 43.99 for the set. Especially when they were in last week's flyer for 29.99. Hopefully they will be chraper at other vendors when they become more common. The adjustment system seemed ok and I liked the looks of the cross hatching for the jaw teeth. Not crazy about the grips. They felt a little sharp and maybe tapered a bit too much, but maybe it wouldn't be as noticeable in actual use. Hope to see these more common soon so somebody can try them out.

I wouldn't buy it. The only improvement I can see is the adjustment mechanism which looks like those crappy Irwin ones. It seems to be more show than go if it can't double up as a pipe wrench like the Knipex Cobras. Many Cobra knock offs have that feature.

I'm annoyed in general with the modern fad of making tools look like some sort of futuristic cyborg sea creature.

I'll stick with my Cobras, thanks.

They can release a new tool I don't want, but I have not been able to buy my favorite pliers, the 548 in a year.

Those are pretty fugly..
Channellock should just rip off the Knipex alligator design and get it over with. The Knipex design is just superior in every way. At the very least just give some people the American Made option they’d like to have. I’m not saying they should REPLACE what they have now, to add a new model, and watch them fly off the shelves.
