Seacan/Shipping container owners - Air circulation?

For those of you that own shipping containers, what have you done for air circulation inside?

We have had condensation in the containers for a few years now and it's about time it gets addressed.

My idea was a squirrel cage fan mounted through one end of the container hooked up to a solar panel.

Other end would get a steel mesh screened passive vent.

Unless someone has an easier solution?

When I got my container, they put in 2 round screened vents approx 12" diameter. There are foam plugs to close them off if needed.
One was low on the right rear, the other was high on the left front.
I also added 2" foam panels to the ceiling. That was one thing they really recommended to avoid condensation.

Used this passive venting system specifically designed for shipping containers, and very pleased with it. Totally solved my condensation problems.

I used a 12v bilge blower, solar panel, and voltage regulator (so it RPM doesn't go wild when solar panel is throwing out full sun voltage). Has worked no problem since last April. I also added a fuse and on/off switch. Cut a 4" hole at one end, up high to mount the blower, and a screened intake low on the door end.

No battery or anything...it only needs to run in the daytime to keep temps down and provide air changeover. No condensation issues in (humid) NC.

Thanks for the info, I just placed an order with them.

No problem.

I was looking for a solution earlier this year and found this company. I had meant to post about them here, as I have never seen them mentioned on Garage Journal before.

The guy that invented this clearly knows what he is doing. Great to see American scientific ingenuity at work.

For those who haven't clicked the link, the vent pictured is engineered so that wind (works at very low speeds) creates a draw when passing the specially shaped vent, and creates a low pressure that draws air through from a vent(s) placed at the opposite end of the container. This cross flow exchanges the air inside the container and allows humidity to regulate.

The intake and exhaust vents are very well made, with robust screens, and louvering to prevent water ingress. They have a couple different profiles that match exactly the end wall or side wall ribbing profile of the container.

This same guy has a popular product he figured out to reduce sewage odours from poor venting in recreational vehicles.
