What is this PLOMB Comb WR 2360?

I got Vintage PLOMB Comb WR from ebay.
The tag shows this was produced from 1919 to 1924 as model No. 2360.
However first Comb WR by PLOMB was released 1933, from my understanding.
I checked Alloy Artifact, but no mentioned about this model.
Let me know what is this PLOMB Comb WR.

Logo of PLOMB was changed PLVMB from 1934.
It means this was produced before 1933 at least because of PLOMB logo.
And, I do not know the brand name "A. PLOMB" which is stamped on this.

To expound on 930dreamer's reply, Alphonse Plomb, one of the three founding partners, and the one for which the company was named, left the company very early on and formed his own enterprise, the A. Plomb Tool Company, which later became the California Tool Company. Your wrench was made by that enterprise, which used various markings, including A. PLOMB and CALIF-TOOL, etc. Your wrench was not made by the Plomb Tool Company.

Hi. That "2360" is just an inventory control number (SKU= stock keeping unit). While that style of combination wrench is considered to be A.Plomb's earliest production style it is extremely unlikely that the tag is correct about the date's of production being 1917-1924. it's probably no earlier than 1934.

Also, as far as the date written on the tag, the person who sold that wrench to you is a very bright guy but he was just transferring info from an already existing inventory made by the person whose collection he bought.

Next time I would considerd more or collected the information before judging to buy.

Well that's always a good idea of course and they obviously weren't giving that particular wrench away but on the positive side it IS a very hard to find wrench.
