Do those glue to the floor, or lock together. I guess I really just want to know how they displace the weight of floor jacks and things of this nature. It looks hella good though, i like the layout

Cool looking garage! :) Thanks for choosing RaceDeck!

KIng Me IRL - Floor jack, lifts, and tool boxes are easily handled by RaceDeck. Take a look in our online photo gallery.

Great looking garage!! This was a professional job right? What company did it? How long did it take them? How many other companies did you check? What made you go with them? What kind of warranty did they give you?

Hope you don't mind all the questions. But maybe some on here could learn how you found a good contractor and your process of choosing the right one.

No not a professional company. A friend helped me but we did it togethor over 3 weekends. My friend is a stereo installer so he had all the right tools. Very happy with the final results. Still waiting for some shelves but its mostly done. By the way I'm a physician.

Looks fantastic! I've been thinking about doing the RaceDeck in my garage. Could you post a couple of pictures showing how it lined up to the door openings? I was curious how that worked out if you start the tiles at the back of the garage.

Great Job! Just curious how much $$$$$ for the race deck flooring?

Believe it or not but the walls were much more expensive than the racedeck flooring. Racedeck is at a great price for garage journal members. Total floor cost less than $2200

StorWall is worth it, though. I have a bunch in my garage and it's awesome.

Yea we love the storwall. Once we got started we decided it looked too good just to do some walls. We ended up going up 90 inches (6 panels) and wraping it around all walls except behind the cabinets which you can't see. We started just above the cove molding. Also, by using the cove molding it nicely covers the 1/2 inch we left off the racedeck from the wall. Really nice finish. Since the Racedeck expands and contracts you need to leave off 1/2 atleast.

What threw me off thinking it was a pro job was those brackets. I know the maker and If he was selling direct I would have a huge issue.

With that said, all in all your garage looks great. You did an awesome job!

Thanks Just for your info I was quoted 13K - 15K for this job by a professional and I completed the job on my own with extras for about 6K. Now I'm thinking I should Heat it. Gets really cold here in Rochester NY. Any thoughts? Maybe I should do a new post in the heating section.

look up modine hot dawg or big maxx heaters.. should be something up your alley. they are relatively cheap and they run on propane or natural gas. i think you would want like 50-55 btu per sqft from a chart that i was looking at the other day

I think I am going to copy that pattern! Thanks for doing it for me:lol_hitti I've been at a loss for a 3+ car garage pattern. I like the one tile wide red line around the perimeter; but did you run out of red tiles? Seems there is a gray tile at the entrance where just one more red tile would do the trick? Is there something I missed? Also, the solid gray "walkways' are very clever.

No I didn't run out of tiles. I did it that way but you can certainly change it however you like. I would recommend ordering 4 extra tiles of each color. From this experience I can can say my favorite color of all the colors I used ( Alloy, Graphite, Black and red) is Graphite. Shows dirt and tire marks the least.

I'm luck I have a cetral vac in the house and in the garage and can easily clean up any mess. I really like the design I chose but my wife thinks its a bit busy.

Looks great and very well laid out! Congratulations

Could you tell me what you put behind your sink? I am trying to figure out what to do with mine without going to the trouble of tiling it!

I didn't put anything behind the sink. The Builder has put a sheet of some sort of material which is water resistant. Not sure what it is but it seems paintable and I was condering painting it next spring with a matching grey paint. But it really doesn't look bad in person. The pictures look like there is just sheet rock there but there is isn't. I can try and take a close up when I get a chance.

question about Racedeck, if it's o.k.

What if you park wet vehicles on it, or spillages. Do they get stuck under, over your conc floor ?

Hi,

We're obviously close by or at least live in the same neck of the woods. Am very interested in your install & garage mods.

Very nice job. Surprised it was all w/o a contractor........I'd be interested if there was one around to use.

But, might I ask a few questions?? I've got a 3 car garage as well. Looks like essentially the same set up. Mine needs drywall on 3 of the walls, plus the floor. Given what you show, I like the wall system & cabinets as well!

Could I ask you for a price breakdown, to get an idea about what I might be looking at. Since you did the install yourself, perhaps just a summary of the material costs for the major floor, wall, cabinet selections??

Would be much appreciated. If you'd care to, feel free to private message me with the details.

Thanks in advance.

See ya. :hellobye:
