Newbie here with a 440 sf attached garage used for working on and detailing cars. It houses a daily driver and a car driven only on nice days.

Would like to apply an epoxy coating in before it gets cold, so I have to order very soon. Any opinions on what product I should go with? Clear cloat or not? Want something that's not too slippery, but won't shred me when working directly on it. Tire lift-off is a concern. There is SO much material on this site and too little time.

Vendors feel free to send quotes by PM.

I used the epoxy master product from costco -- results were awesome. Tough looking stuff vs. the water base junk. No clear coat needed. Setup time is short so have a plan -- read my other post with my tips regardless of which epoxy you go with.

Thanks for the feedback floorman. I've read mixed reviews about epoxy master, but I'm still reseaching so it warrants another look.

Here's my starting point:

Edco will be rented to remove acrylic sealer and paint spills and level rough areas (pic 2) after which spalling (pic 3) will be patched and joint between slab and stem walls (pics 4-6) will be filled.

Finished last night. Stem walls took a long time to do but I think it was worth doing. Using spike shoes and an 18" roller made life easier. The product was divided into 4 equal (0.75 gal) batches to cover a 10'x10' section at a time. Cutting in with a brush took about 6 minutes at the start of each section which left enough time to squeegee and backroll the field before the epoxy got tacky.

Hello, I'm new to the site, but I have been reading up, researching what to use for a floor coating in my garage.

Yours looks great!

I did a search for "Armorpoxy", and on their website they list several products, including "Armorpoxy", which they describe as a one component epoxy. Is that what you used, or was it one of their other products? (I am leery of something that is "one component"--that isn't really "epoxy", right?)
