After months of procrastinating, I got around to processing a big box of Apex Dayton impact specialities and magnetic drivers & bits. Found among the array was this tool, marked APEX, but not related to Dayton.
Mfd. by Chas. Morrill Co. in New York, I wondered what it was, and I'll assume for the moment that it is in fact a sawset, even though it doesn't seem to perfectly match the other ones shown in the linked 1917 catalog.
