So I knew about Flexzilla and the hoses they sell, never owned one not a big fan of the color yes I know marketing thing but it's a big much.

Anyways I just happened on their Air compressors. Anyoen seen it in person of have one? Mostly looking at the bigger options. The thing that I'm interested is sound level and quality.
Anyone think they actually make them or if they are built by someone else with Flexzilla marketing?
They honestly look like a knock off of Saylor-Beall,

I believe they are made by the same outfit that produces the e-max compressor line. The company builds that compressor for several labels. I have seen one of the 10hp units and it was identical to my 10hp e-max.

Yes it is just a rebranded Polar Air Compressor by Eaton. I recently got this compressor from Eaton with the matching air dryer. They also have a 10HP one but I was worried I'd need my electrical service upgraded. So I just went with the 7.5HP and it's awesome. I was able to get it shipped to my home with the air dryer, two oil change kits, and 3/4" Rapid air maxline master kid for the price of the Flexilla branded one.

I was going to post links but since I haven't posted enough it wont let me. Instead I'll just post the part number. All the part numbers listed are for the 7.5HP with the muffler box and autodrain.

Here is the Polar air $2,730
PS07V080V1

Here it is as E-Maxx $3,899
ESP10V080V1

And here it is as Flexilla $4,410
FXS07V080V1

Also since you mentioned caring about color.

Polar air version = Blue
E-maxx = yellow
Flexilla = green

I used an app on my phone and my 7.5hp polar air runs at 64 decibels. It runs smooth and builds pressure very fast. I was impressed with the customer service and the owner even stayed late to answer questions for me. I don't have any complaints.

My biggest beef with the flexzilla hoses is how dirty they get and how they are easily damaged by dropping stuff on them, but it sure is nice having a hose that stays flexible when cold and is easy to store when done!

Here are the web pages to a couple that are related to the eaton compressor.
https://eatoncompressor.com/
https://emaxcompressor.com/
Only issue I've had is a bad start capacitor that's starting to act up. An easy fix

Thanks
Anthony

WOW everyone here is a wealth of information and fast too. On one of the photos I found EATON in the casting of the compressor on an E-max unit so max it pretty obvious for Eaton and e-max. The flexzilla seems epic new on the market and seem to have a lot of marketing hype with fancy video but lacking of photo or much else. but it looks to be an Eaton as well.

I'm not in a rush but knowing the lineage of all these units is good to know.

Yeah the part numbers being the same says a lot too. The first couple letters designate which brand it's being sold as. That silent air box is only on the compressors Eaton manufacturers so that's another give away. All the performance specs are the same too.

I first found the flexzilla , like you, and thought I'd never be able to afford one. I was going to just settle for the IR. But then I found emax and searched the air pump part number they had listed under the specs which linked me to Eaton's website of course.

You know GreenBelt "Rental company" paints their equipment Dark Green and they buy John Deere equipment which is Painted Yellow, which is actually built by Hitachi painted Orange ... So you start to scratch the paint and it's all colors of the rainbow.. Green Yellow Orange At least John Deer - Hitachi are basically the same price though.

Anyways co branded stuff isn't a new thing not surprised the Flexzilla does this, IF they started with hose, moved to attachments, ETC compressor is the next progression a bit surprised the pricing is so drastically between the 3 companies though.

I have the quiet one 7.5. Love it. Just blew out my sprinklers in a tenth the normal time.
I did not have good experience with polar help. I had some valid questions and the guy was giving me yes/no answers like I was bothering him. The woman who sold it to me was decent. Sent me some touch up paint.
