Hello from New Orleans - electric motorcycle shop underway!

GJ nation,

Long time lurker. Grateful for all the generosity in this community. Super psyched/slightly intimidated to start a thread on a new garage build here in Uptown New Orleans, Louisiana.

I build custom electric motorcycles, the occasional electric bike, and every once in a while, an electric Mardi Gras float for the kids. A little worried that the new shop will have room for things with 4 wheels...

Just moved across town from a house with small 250 sq ft shop. House is settle; it is time for the garage. Look for that 20’ x 20’ build thread soon!

Super psyched to get some feedback and advice on this next shop.

I have been a fan of electric vehicles for years, but never was able to make it happen.

Yeah you gotta keep us updated on the shop build and then the projects. I’ve built a few mini-bikes and the next one I build I want to do as an e-bike.

As long as you're on higher ground, you should be good to go. Gentilly Ridge is a future RE hot spot.

no motorcycles on the levee, but the Jefferson Parish Levee folks are ok with ebikes. I built a minibike that does almost 40 but as long as I'm peddling and not blowing past, they leave me alone....
