Double Deep Gas Station style new build

We bought 2 years ago on a large lot with intent of building a nice shop in the backyard. The main part is 14' x 38' because that was all that is allowed without minor varience and engineered design. Construction started in Aug. 08 and I was able to have a warm dry shop for winter. Pictures to follow.

Thank you for the compliments, it turned out looking a lot nicer than I thought it would mostly due to the commercial front door. My wife helped me install it. Can't remember exactly what it cost but it was about twice the back door which was about $1200. Both doors are 12'x11' 3" largest that would fit.

Could you post some more pictures of the 'office' sidecar part? I like the way it looks like a commercial building on that side.

And that glass garage door is cool. (Free sun light, too.)

Thank you again to all who respond I need help, to post pictures my son helps me out. I will add more pictures maybe next weekend. Toolroom \Office side has antique double doors, solid oak [I think]. The shop side features dual overhead cranes that both run the full length and width, 1 ton and 1/4 ton. Built them with help from my wife.

love it, i have 17X29 but your door is in a different part of the building. you can drive 2 cars deep, i have to park 2 cars like an L shape. im curious to see how it looks on the inside. cool idea! try to keep everything off the floor.

Couple Q's: Why is it on a different angle than the other buildings? Is it the same as the house? Why not get the variance and built it double-wide? Still - looks cool and much like the old-style stations!

Union goon It looks small because all the doors are big white side door is 8'6" x 40" brown double doors are 8' tall, We used to live in Port Perry. Did you rip out the ties in your shop and put the chains in?
e-tek good eye on the angled thing, I have reasons and pictures, later. Why not get a variance? money, hassel, time. Why not side by side? then I couldn't drive through!

I like this design--being able to drive through is great. You must not be worried too much about security with all that glass. If I did that here in Chicago I'm sure all the contants of my garage would be gone overnight!

And yes, like everyone else said, please post some photos of the inside soon.

E30 great advantage to be able to tow through. As far as security if you have one window you may as well have 27.

sorry no new pictures I am working on my computer skills. I noticed an error in the original post I typed 18 x38 that should be 14 x38 just enough to get our 35' motorhome in and sqeeze all the way around. I am working on it ( Spaceballs) this week.
Re-Volv it's just vinyl from the home centre did it all myself was surprized.
