I started working through my contractor at the end of October 2019.
Friday 12-11-20 it's finally up.
It's an Eversafe steel building. 30x35ft with 12 ft walls.
I made some rash, off the cuff decisions that I regret now but it is what it is.
I didn't make it deep enough to get my sailboat in, so no parking it inside.
Also, I didn't have plumbing done before the slab was poured, so I will have to go in through the wall. :-(
Oh well. I'll get it done.
It has 2 roll up doors. 10x10ft. Nice, but the way they are designed, there is a large open space at the top when they are closed. Like several inches.
Working on a solution for that.
I think I'm going to use a penetrating sealer on the floor before anything goes inside. After that I'm considering extra insulation.
It already has the thin "double bubble" radiant barrier insulation everywhere.
Nothing on the doors yet...

I wanted to be able to park my fishing boat between the roll up doors. Have space for "projects", like maybe a vehicle restoration, and a small area for my machines. I'm a hobby machinist of sorts and have a lathe and a mill. My son also just acquired a CNC router. I made a scale drawing of the floor plan and scale blocks of everything I have in my old shop + the boat and a truck. It's really tight on paper but looks do-able.
I plan a 2 post lift to go between the roll ups too. The boat will just have to go outside when I need to work.

Joey 1320,
The window that you can only see half of??
The white building in front of it is going to be torn down after I get moved in.
Currently that's my shop...
It's gonna be a lot better.

Now that it's up, the double bubble insulation doesn't look like it's going to do much.
I'm wondering what others do to insulate a building like this.
I don't think a spay on insulation would work since it already has the other stuff??
The frame is 2 1/2" square tubing so the space is smaller than a normal wall.
I intend to cover the inside of the walls with something. Plywood maybe.

Talk to some spray foam guys. I have heard some say you can spray on top of that foil stuff. Maybe with some extra strapping in there for the foam to adhere to?

Is furring the walls out with 2x4 an option to create insulation cavities? Infill w/ batt., then vapor barrier, then finish material of your choosing.

You don't want spray foam on top of that insulation. If you go with spray foam you need to remove the existing insulation. spray foam doesn't properly adhere to that material also that material will break down overtime and then the foam will come down with it.

Talk to a garage door company about a rubber seal for the top of the door opening. I always order the seal with the door. Rigid foam would be a good choice for more insulation. Good looking building.
