inspired by recent posts like this, i did a little research on these knipex bottle openers (flaschenöffner).
it looks like they've made them for the last 3 years, and they sell them on their knipexfans.shop site for germany only.

i'm interested in getting a v3 while they're still available.
who else wants one?
i'm willing to do the leg work and organize a group buy. i have a decent amount of experience organizing buys, but i've never done one for product originating in europe.
if you're interested, please indicate by replying to this topic. if you're not in the US, please also indicate your location. i won't rule out international participants yet, but it may not be economical for you unless you're just in canada or something.
once i have a rough idea of how many people are in, i'll have you guys fill out an "order form" and provide more concrete details.
there will be no markup of any kind, and everything will handled in transparent, timely, and meticulous fashion.
distribution from my end will be done economically via USPS first class package service @ commercial rate.
as for shipping from DE to USA, can anyone with experience please advise? what's the best courier, and how can the best pricing be had (taking into account current reliability concerns)? i don't have a commercial DHL, FedEx, or UPS account. international retail pricing is usually ****, so i'm happy to shop around or accept help.
also, if anyone in DE who is well positioned to forward the package wants to assist, let me know. ideally, this is someone with experience shipping internationally who can help get us a reasonable rate. otherwise, i have a friend there who can just ship it retail worst case.
