I just received a flyer in the Sunday paper on this cabinet:

90320.gif

Their website lists it for $499.99 but states:
"Prices on our website may or may not be current prices in our stores"

The item number is 90320-9VGA. Seems like a bargain for someone needing a medium size roller cabinet with roller bearing drawers(drawer liners are included as well)

If only it wasn't Chinese, you're really tempting me, it's about the size I'd like plus the big drawer but I'll pass.

I actually looked at that box in the store it seemed pretty decent, better than some of those new Craftsman boxes.

Typically, they don't allow the 20% off coupon with "other" coupon items............unless they make an exception or just don't pay attention. In addition, I'll bet their systems lock out the "double coupon" transaction.

On the other hand, if the product is just listed as "on-sale" for $339, the 20% coupon ought to work. It is applicable to their prices in the store or to their web prices (if you show the store the web page offering..........kind of a pain....clearly, they don't employ the "same price philosophy between the web & stores).

See ya. :hellobye:

See ya. :wavey

use.
That does seem like a great deal. I wonder if you can combine it with a 20% off coupon.

Cheers!

Coupons don't stack, one per purchase, but sale prices and 20% coupons do stack. $270 is an insane price for that box. If it was nationwide, I might even get one (top of my Craftsman box is now too high to work on, and was kinda small anyway.)

OP, thanks for the post. I was just there yesterday and saw this in store for the regular price. It looked solid and the drawers moved nicely. I even added several small sledge hammers in the middle drawer and it slid just as nice. I'm pretty sure it was $499 (reg price?) and thought it would be worth looking at with a coupon or on sale. $339 - 20% off would be a great deal. Do you know when that sale price ends? I'll have to keep my eye open for a 20% off coupon!

I have a craftsman 3 piece now, ball bearing, blah blah, that I am growing out off so this would be a nice addition.

This is good to know thank you for sharing. I don't have a store near me, so whenever I visit my friend over in Schereville, IN, I make it a point to stop in. I tried to use a coupon on a 100' 1/4" PVC air hose that was already on sale for $19.99, but the coupon wouldn't apply, it still rang up $19.99, so I used it on an item that I had for $12 that wasn't on sale. Now after reading some older coupons, it clearly states it's valid on current prices, including sale prices.

Old Coupon 1
Old coupon 2

Thanks guys,
-Ed

EDIT: the drawer liners were kind of thin, so I would add my own. And with this being modular, I could add more pieces as they go on sale (and as I need them)

Thanks for the coupon FastEddieG. I just checked my local store and it's still at regular price but not a half bad box for that sale price. I'll have to hold out until it goes on sale.

Wow, that's a good price. A month or so ago I paid $320 - $399 on sale less 20% coupon. Some stores may apply the 20% off, some may not. It's worth a try...

It's not on sale yet. I got the flyer in the mail and it said it goes on sale after Thanksgiving and through the weekend. The flyer included a new 20% off coupon too.

They keep 20% coupons behind the counter at the Harbor Freight in Columbia, MO. All you have to do is ask, Not sure if that everywhere but on more than one occasion i have received the discount just by asking.

Eddie,

Do you know if the Schereville store had the 72" box there? My local store does not carry it.

The big boy eh? :) I didn't see it there, this one was the biggest box I saw. You can always call in with a sku and check the stock and price of it - they've always been more than helpful when I called.

I bought this last year at ~ the same price. I was in a pinch and needed a cheap home for tools my dad willed me. Mine is fully loaded and its holding up very well. All drawers roll nicely and its solid.

Here in Cincinnati, they will price match the website. I bought a digital caliper that way. It was 29.99 in store but 16.99 online. Printed the sheet and she marked it down to 16.99 plus I used the car magazine 20% off coupon. She did grumble about not sure if she was allowed to do both. Maybe on a tool box, they would balk a little harder. The caliper is worth about what I paid. I just needed to have something in the tool box to get close. It maybe a few or many thousandths off, but Im not a machinist.

Thanks!

Exactly.......use any/all prices & coupons for lowest deal.....car magazines, USA Today has coupons, Popular Mechanics, etc. plus their website. Just bring the pages from all and they will deduct until it's the lowest published w/coupons!! :)

OP can you post a scan of the ad by chance? If it's on sale in my area soon, I may be picking it up this week. I just called the "local" store and it's still $499.99 :(

Here's a 20% off coupon for anyone interested

-Ed

Sorry guys. It seems that my scanner has taken a large ****. I would be glad to fax it, (if needed) to anyone that needs it.

I didn't think this would draw as much interest as it has. Hopefully it will help someone, for there storage needs :bounce:

It's for a home garage..........I kind of agree, more drawers would probably be better. I guess it depends on how many shelves there are in that section.

Thx. for bring that up......good point.

See ya. :hellobye:

Tenor, is this for home or a shop? For me, that side locker section is a no go. I have other places to store things that would fit in there. I don't need another closet for power tool cases.

The HF ad that came in my Sunday paper shows ofer ends 12-31-09. It is model number 90320 and coupon is called super coupon $339.99. It does not state on sale. I tried to scan it but came out not readable I guess do to the paper it is printed on.

Ah thanks, so it's a coupon. The 20% coupon is technically not allowed with it then. And that means we have to have the coupon to buy it. Now to find that paper with the coupon :) Anyone have any ideas?

If you can, go in and talk to the manager, tell him you want to buy the box, and are willing to hunt around for coupons in magazines etc., but would be happy to buy it on the spot if he can give you a good price.

Unfortunately, that's marked as a "super coupon", so I am guessing that you can't use the 20% coupon on top of the $339.99 price. Can anyone confirm/deny?

NO - from my experience, they do NOT stack coupons.....i.e. you cannot use the add'l 20% off with the tool box coupon.. However, if they run a sale in the store (or online) for less that their regular price, you can use the 20% off.

Since "Black Friday" is coming up............as they did about a month or two ago, they will likely have some kind of big 'sale" in which prices are dropped. Then, you can use the 20% off coupon.

As an example (and I missed this sale) they held a parking lot sale in early October. They had this small aluminum floor jack on sale, in the store....or parking lot, really:)..... for $59.99. Minus the 20% off coupon it was $48. I recently bought one without the benefit of this sale, but used a coupon from a magazine for the sale price of $59.99. Couldn't get the extra 20% benefit and I knew I had missed the bargain sale price at the store. Oh, well.

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=91039

You might wait a week and see what happens online, as well as, (and more importantly) in their stores. I expect bargains, per se. PLUS, free stuff! Always free stuff coupons..........lately, they have been a cheap screwdriver set, 25ft. tape measure and small aluminum LED flashlight. All with coupons of one kind or another, no purchases necessary. They have been found in Car & Driver, Motor trend, Autoweek, Popular Mechanics, USA Today (believe it or not), etc..

The deals offered in the ads mentioned above are typically BETTER than the fliers you receive in the mail or from their in-store ads. Don't know exactly why or the strategy, but they are.......and, even within this type of ad from one or more of the magazines, the same product might have three different prices in 3 different months or 3 different magazines. So, you need to be vigilant and compare.

Hope that helps, from my experience, anyway.

See ya. :hellobye:

Thanks for the scan OP. I tried using a printout of it but they wouldn't take it. They would take the $349.99 coupon though. So I ended up buying this today with the $349.99 coupon. I also bought a 1/2" Earthquake Impact for $66 after the 20% coupon.

The toolbox is heavy and solid. I will take some pics and add my thoughts next week after I've had time to fill the drawers and use it a little bit. It should nicely compliment my 3 piece craftsman/ball bearing set so that now most all of my tools will have a home :)

Thanks!
