Hi,
I wanted to get some thoughts from the group on this install. I've wanted a floor covering for more than 10 years and finally pulled the trigger on it with this new build. (My prior place didn't have a vapor barrier and so I never attempted to floor coat. I assume this b/c of how much moisture came up.) In this case I saw everything go down.
Cement never touched by a car side aged for about 10 months. Been covered by building about 3 months. 6mil vapor barrier under. Etc...
The grind, Base, and flake went down April 19th and the Polyasparic topcoat April 20th. It is good but did not make my expectations. The top coat is un-evenly shiny. I don't know much about this material but I've painted a few cars and to me it is what happens when your clear coat is shot too thin.
Questions:
1) Is this right and my expectation was too high?
2) The company says it will get better in 3 days to one week. True?
3) They want me to be happy, if I still feel this way about the floor in a week can it be fixed without making it worse? This is a 7 out of 10 in my opinion. I can live with it but I'd not do again.
So since it is "ok" I'd hate for them to add a top coat and it not adhere well or some other unexpected result. You know like the wheel the Inifinity dealer curbed on my then new '06 G35. They re-painted the area and it looked great for three years but now 15 yrs later you can tell which wheel had the repair as compared to the other three.
Your feedback appreciated.
