Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for hangers for 1/2"sch40 pipe for my gas line to my heater and also 1/2" copper pipe for my air lines.
I want to run the gas line right up tight to the ceiling, and the air line just under it about 1".

Thanks Mike:beer:

Try using a ceiling flange for the air lines. Lowes or Home depot usually has them in the plumbing department. The flange screws to the joist, a 3/8 all thread is cut to length and the pipe holder is screwed to the all thread. It makes for a neat installation. The gas lines can be held up with std pipe hangers.

Take a look at this picture to see how they work:

X2....this is what I did. It's hanging nice and snug to the drywall, but the stand-off gained from the base and threaded rod's allows enough room for the couplers and elbows extra girth.

Catch,

I added a few more photos to show how they look on drywall and a steel tube column. The column was drilled and tapped for the screws and the drywall flanges use large deck screws

I love the look of those standoffs. That's what I'm gonna use on mine....if I ever get to it.

Are the garage-pak type systems essentially pex setups you would use for water line with appropriate airline scheduled ratings?

Try 7/8 unistrut and clamps , the strut is coated and the clamps come copper plated for copper and galv. for black pipe . The bottom of my 1" air lines are only 2" down from the ceiling using these and you can set the clamps anywhere on the strut . I don't know about cost but you can get them at any plumbing wholesaler .
