on the drive side there is a split ring you can separate with a razor blade or pick. Walk the ring around and the head will fall out. I don't think the handles are interchangable. Perhaps Chadster or MrShaun could clarify.

Surely you could find someone to trade you for a TH737, what with the hard handle collectors around here. Or just sell it, and buy a TH737.

those orange handles were ugly back in the day and they are ugly now!
the yellow and blue/purple handles are a different story

I know Moose has an affinity for them for some reason
and I think that guys with the most Snap On ratchets obviously has a couple.Call me weird, I like the soft grip for some reason. I think it has to do with my hand size and my need for better grip than a smooth metal handle. Call me butterfingers I guess...

Opposite of you, yesterday i swapped this yellow torx handle onto a spare 1/4" breaker bar. Just need a ratchet handle for it now.
How much you want for that orange handle?

The stems on the soft handle ones are longer than the hard handles.Every soft handle I've taken off to convert to hard handle I've had to cut the stem of the ratchet to make the hard handle fit.Shouldn't be a big deal going from hard to soft.

put it in a vise and use a prybar. sometimes you have to pull on the handle really hard and gently pry it off.
some handles will swap, but you may have to drill out a plastic handle to fit the soft grip and might have to drill the soft grip to fit the plastic. trial and error my friend.
I bet you will be able to do it. I have never had someone want to go from hard to soft. harder is better ( no puns intended there boys )

You're supposed to put an open end wrench on there first so that the pry bar doesn't mar the front of the handle. I thought everybody had read Moose's tutorials by now.....

To do what?
You can lever it off easy in a vice. (mine isn't even bolted down) and once drilled properly you can tap it on with a plastic hammer. The yellow one i did yesterday was a tight fit and i was pounding it on with a plastic hammer and it didn't leave a mark.

I could probably hook you up with a yellow one, suitable for a 1/4" ratchet. Same as the one i posted above.
After making the Instinct ratchet for DaMaN, i was surprised at just how good it feels. I actually do find it very comfortable, i may have to try another one of these for myself. Maybe a 3/8".

That would make way more sense.. If you do trade, you're going to be mailing stuff anyway. No point in pulling handles when the ratchet is the same.

I have a press to remove handles, but it weighs a ton and is a pain to put up with it.
I left it on the box once and forgot about it, needless to say that the box on the other side of the truck became a scratch and dent box once I made a left hand turn. scared me to death when it hit that other box. I thought I had run over a car it was so loud.

screwdriver goes in at the bottom and you let the jack down and tighten the blade down with the gold bolt and then jack it up and it slides right out.
