I thought I would throw out some of my nifty garage tricks and hope to get some new ones in return.

Like the funnel drain too. Good use of that wasted corner space and beats kicking the drain pan out from under the car every time you roll the creeper under there.

Speaking of oil drains.

I came across a couple old 15 gallon solvent cans for parts washers with lids. I took one lid, drilled about 8 one quarter inch holes in it and beat it in a little with a hammer to make it concave.

I put it on a drum and use it for a teardown stand for motorcycle engines. All the fluids from the engine and cleaning solutions I use on the engine all drain down through the lid and into the drum.

When the drum is about 2/3 full, I swap drums and put on a sealed lid to transport it to the reclaim station.

Here's a pic (I hope) of a finished engine sitting on the drum. All the paint is gone off the lid now but maybe you can get my drift.
