I haven't bought anything Stanley for a long time but yesterday I was cleaning up the shop and found a set of Stanley Black and yellow screwdrivers that have to be at least 20 years old. They are good screwdrivers.

It sure looks like you got a good supply of screw drivers for a decent price. I hope you like them cause you are going to have to look at them for the next 25-30 years before you wear them out.

Stanley certainly made good screwdrivers back in the day. No experience of their current production.

Good find on the Proto:thumbup: Did they have much Proto or did you buy up all they had?

I've got quite a few of those, pretty decent screwdrivers, here's a NOS set I have, I think most people will recognize them when they see them, they have to be some of the most popular screwdrivers out there:

My Dad still has a set of those vintage black and yellows.

Well loved and abused, but a darn good product.

I just bought some Stanley screwdrivers on clearance at Lowe's. They are chisel screwdrivers with a thru tang. Very stout. Made in England. Well worth the $6.

I still use my black and yellow handles. "Handyman" I think they were labeled years ago when I got them. I think me and every one of my buddies in high school bought them for our first set.

Yellow handle with black rubber---have a set in the tool box. Probably the third tool I purchased, after a Stanley framing hammer and combination square. Quality, made in Connecticut tools.
