there's a cheap Fluke 88 meter on CL, only $75 with the case and bunch of leads, problem was the LCD is faded. so I took the chance just bought it.
I did a little research before I went, seems it's pretty common among some models. also there's a youtube video showing an easy fix by just cleaning the contacts.
guess what... after 3 minutes, it worked just as described.
