snap on L72 R teardown (pic heavy!)

yesterday i got this:

and it was filled with 3/4" drive sockets, ratchet, breaker bars, extensions and adapters. also a 3/4" CP impact wrench (some of these tools have already found their way into the for sale section)

anyways...

how old is this? i have never seen snap on use a / to separate the snap from the on like this : Snap/On

it needed a good cleaning

no worn out parts and nothing appears to be compromised

the handle was a bit wobbly too, its not even a snap on handle, something home made out of a hardened steel. any idea what this might be?

can anyone identify the year? no marks are apparent to me other then the logo

for the box or the ratchet? when i emailed the dude he didn't want to sell me just the ratchet so i had to buy the whole lot.

lets just say way less then $275 the original asking price. far bellow

its a 45. i looked it up on collecting snapon and it identified where to look. stamped with an E behind the direction indicator

I think the home made handle is part of the history of the tool just brass weld up the diameter till its snug give it a quick coat of silver solder she be right as rain
