For general information, I took some photos inside my new garage that I outfitted with 6500k t12 HO 8' bulbs. It's difficult to get an accurate photo representing color temps because many cameras will be set to automatically adjust for the lighting (white balance). I set my camera in full manual with zero white balance adjustment and took a few shots.

one of the shots is at night, so you can see that daylight coming in through the windows has little influence on the temp, but for comparison it is very close. If you think there is a blue tint to it with just my crossfire, you can see on the VW that there is now. The red is very red.

I'm thrilled with my 6500k color.

Thanks. I can't wait to get back to work on my VWs!

I had read quite a bit of discussion over color but never saw any pics that I knew were not color balanced.

I got these at 1000bulbs.com, they were less than half the cost of my electrical supplier.

well many people don't like the purte white colour because it's more intense and they like a warm colour, me personally I like what functions the best and that's it. I am using 56W 5' T8 globes myself, I will see if I have a pic handy somewhere

That's what I have in mine. If you figger by the foot, I have 128' of 6500K bulbs in a 20x24. Love it. Need to share a pic. Mathematically, I'd say Lu*w/ft^3x120v=damn bright.
