My first ratchet set I bought was Dulalast ratchet set 3 piece,I bought when I was 17 years old, to replace the crappy Craftsman ratchets I had at time
that came in the 76 piece set......

Who here has the Dulalast set like the one I have.. I remembered it costed me like $65 with tax............
I Still have the 3/8 Craftsman from the box.
The 1/2 and 1/4 died(it would not release)

Man has my tool collection has grown as time goes........
I replaced the Dulalast with better ones two years later, they were the Craftman Thin.
I still use the Dulalasts when I go to the junkyard, I only wished that bought the 1/4, 3/8/,1/2 set.......

So how have those Duralast ratchets performed? Have you leaned on them?

Sure My first job was my former car I used to own, It a 93 Altima, I replaced the intake manifold on it, what pain in ***... really
So here what did,
I removed the fuel pressure from the car by pulling relay..
then I removed the battery and battery box.

Removed starter motor, brackets, power steering pump, throttle body.
And the oil filter housing, 12mm bolts (4)
Removed the fuel rail with injectors
Disconnected all wirings to sensors on the intake, and all vacuum hoses.
Then I dropped the plenum, then using 1/4 and combo of 3/8 drive and
wrenches I removed all the intake to head bolts/nuts
Some were a bear to remove....
I cleaned everthing, put new gaskets, and torque everthing down to specs..
That was fun, My first time was like 7 hours, I was fresh, now I could doit like 2-4 hours...

i bought 3 of those sets when they had a clearance sale.

really, who much did you pay?

Yes, I'd like to know too. Also, I find it weird that AutoZone fails to stock so much of the Duralast stuff in the stores. The 40-piece socket set, for example, is special order only. They have almost no sets of Duralast in the stores. Only individual pieces. Lots of GreatNeck though.
