So my garage is only considered a 1 car, but it's deeper than your average 1 car, and has an area for a small fab area. It's what I have to use until the real shop goes up in the next few years. We had the house built and moved in just under a year ago, so all of the extra budget got soaked up with the usual new homeowner type stuff.... but I am finally getting around to turning it into the Slave to the Groove Garage. Been painting the last few days and I'll post pics as I go. It's gonna be black halfway up the wall,3'' silver stripe, silver trim around the doors, then red to the ceiling. the ceiling itself will be silver also. I'm not sure if I'm going to have black and red Race Deck flooring, or I may save some cash by just doing black and red vinyl tiles. anywho, here's a few pics!!!

here's where it started...

and here's some pics of my new compressor... wish the electrician would come hook this thing up already.. I know I could do it myself, but it's included in our home warranty.. that, and electricity and I have never gotten along. lol it should be pretty quiet, but not super quiet like I was looking for here,http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=77253&page=3
I got a smoking deal on this compressor, and the cheapest uber quiet one I could find in the state was more than double the price....

mines a 46' I believe, still trying to get a 100% confirmation though... it's got the original 59AB flathead V-8... but not sure if it's gonna be cost effective to save...
I'm building a "rat" rod out of it.... but I plan on doing it full fendered and tasteful...
and I hear ya on them being kinda rare.... my buddy and I found a 46' and 47' for sale... 250 for both... :) and that's in Alaksa!!!

Looking forward to seeing finished pics, of both the truck and the garage. Did you have any issues with the red paint? And did you have to use a tinted primer? I tried to paint my office red about two years ago, still had streaks and roller marks after 6 coats. I finally just threw some Kilz over it and painted it boring beige instead, got perfect coverage in two coats...

ya, I used tinted primer, but should have done 2 full coats before doing the red... red took 5 or 6 coats, and looks good, but not perfect....
