Hey - I signed up for mine yesterday and forgot to post a thread on this forum. I saw this posted over on the Fat Wallet site that I frequent.

Sign up and get a free BOSCH brand oscillating tool blade, and if required for your tool, they even include an adapter plate as well.

Use the promotion code of OISR10

The fine print says "winner selected at random."

Is this a guaranteed thing or what?

here's what it says at the end, though???

Thank you

Thank you for registering for the free OIS adapter and blade offer found in Remodeling and JLC, Woodshop News, Canadian Home Workshop and Popular Woodworking magazines. You will be receiving an adapter and Bosch OSC312F blade in the coming weeks.

I strongly recommend that you guys register with code OISC10 instead. This code was provided to be passed around for posting on tool blogs.

A lot of companies check the referrer to see where freebie requests are coming from. In the past, I've signed up for things via Slickdeals and other websites and never received them when others who signed up elsewhere did.

When something hits fatwallat or slickdeals, many, many people register without even knowing or caring about what it's for. Because of that, some companies may filter out those requests.

Bosch Tools reserves the exclusive right to determine qualifying entries and reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the promotion without notice.

If I were the guy at Bosch fulfilling freebie requests, I would place referrals from Slickdeals and Fatwallet, etc at the lowest priority so that genuine tool users and those likely to actually use the items receive the items first.

I'm not saying that's what they'll do, but it's what other companies seem to have done in the past, and what I would do.

I didn't get anything. But, my new Bosch oscillating tool came with the blade adapter. It probably works OK, but relies solely on friction to hold the blade in place.

Also, I found out first hand that the Dremel (owned by Bosch) and the Bosch blades are quite different and do not interchange.

The blades for those tools never fit one another on other tools. Lame, yet smart. Dremels blades are expensive.

That ring they taped onto the letter is an adapter to make it fit on other oscillating tools... :shocking:

Not true anymore.

Milwaukee comes with a universal adapter, Bosch and Dremel have adapters that allow their accessories to be used on other brands' tools, and I think that Bosch is coming out with an adapter that lets all tools use any brand of accessories.

This is more progress than I really expected to see in the short few years since Fein's patent expired.

I got my blade on Christmas Eve. I also entered my wife's name a day or two after my own so we'll see if she (I) get another blade and adapter in the mail.

Well, Bosch sent me a blade....nice looking blade.....

I got the Dremel for Christmas ......

The letter says:

Thank you for resistering for the free adapter and blade offer at www.boschjoethepro.com

If you own a Bosch, Milwaukee, Fein 636 or a Rigid tool, you do not need an adapter to use Bosch oscillating accessories. However, you are receiving a wood cutting segmented blade at no cost to you.

****, now I need the adapter...:bounce:

I think I ordered one for my neighbor, we'll see if he gets the adapter and maybe we can do some trading around....

Just got mine last Friday. Good thing I didn't want it right away. Didn't get the adapter with it so guess I just hang it on my pegboard.

got mine yesterday. I signed up for it sometime in december. I had almost forgotten about it. they don't get in a hurry, but, hey it's free.

edit:
and it does fit the HF multitool without the need for an adaptor. mine doesn't look like the one posted earlier in the pix, mine is about three inches wide and is a 3/4 circular blade, which is great-i didn't have one of those

I tried entering OISR11 and it seemed to work. I don't know if that is the correct code or not, but I just guessed and it went through.
