Well I finally have a little bit of a score to share with you guys. Most of the time when a decent tool ad comes up on Craigslist around here it's either too far away, or it's junk and the seller wants gold for it, or someone already beats me to it. Well not this time. I was posted around midnight last night, so I emailed the guy, not wanting to call at midnight, thinking he will call me in the morning. So I wait around till 11am the next day and still no call. I give the number listed in the ad a call thinking it's already gone, but the guys wife tells me her husband is still asleep and she will have him call me when he gets up, I say ok. I always try to not get my hopes up since every time I think I have scored, it ends up being too good to be true, or I miss out on the deal. A couple hours later, the guy calls me back and says I can come over to check out the tools. So I went over there and picked up a couple things I've wanted, and a couple things I don't necessarily need, but thought what the heck he was selling it as a lot anyways.

I got everything in the picture for $30 and I am happy.

The Craftsman nut drivers have the name "Tom" engraved on them, but it doesn't really bother me. The Snap On hex heads are free of any engravings and pretty clean for the most part. The shafts are a little dirty, but I expect them to clean up well. The handles are very clean. The hammer is kind of neat, it's pretty heavy. However it doesn't have any markings of any kind on it so maybe it's homemade or something? I guess the other things in the lower left are called punches, I'm not really sure, but wasn't going to turn them down, lol.

Also, if anyone has a spare Snap On "SDABM6" and is looking to help a fellow Garage Journal Brother complete his new set, let me know.

Good score.

The Punches are exactly that they are "Transfer Punches" designed to help you find centre from a larger hole to assist in drilling it to match. The OD will be the hole they are for and they will have a small centre punch in the middle. You put in through and the outside locates it on centre and you hit it, walla perfect centre on the new metal.
