Nice shop!! Really clean and neat.

OK ... NW Ohio ... snow and cold. So, how did you insulate and how do you heat? Are the walls drywalled? Any other specific neat design features that may not be obvious from the photos?

The sidewalls and and ceiling are 2 X 6 framed so I have rolled R19 insulation in the sidewalls and ceiling. It's 12 foot between steel supports. see pic...

Walls are drywalled..ceiling is steel panels. Doors are insulated as well. Furnace is a Lennox high efficiency propane unit. I keep it at 45-47 degrees until I go out to work in it. Here's a pic of the ductwork for the furnace, just ran it out the top of my air compressor room (on the right behind the oil cans)

Neat, neat place!
How did you come up with all of the Marathon stuff? Are the larger items restored, or are they exceptional originals? Your "bar" area in the corner looks neat too, more pictures, Please!

Very nice shop - Looks very clean and well kept, but also nicely layed-out and you can tell it gets used.

What motors are you working on? Looks like the GM 3800 V6 ?

Looks way to clean to be a working shop.
Must be a show case shop where all the drinking buds come over for a brew.

Some asked for more pics...here's a shot of my bar area. Still waiting on bar stools and a flat screen to finish it off.

Not a show garage..I wrench on the side to feed my gas/oil addiction. Here's what's being worked on now. Car nearest you getting head gaskets/heads resurfaced, second car just pulled the motor...can see it in the background.

swapmeet009-1.jpg

Diagnosed no start on a snowmobile and tore down the engine yesterday...hole in the piston...waiting on parts.

swapmeet004-1.jpg

Here's a couple gas pumps in the middle of restoring..one on the left is going back together, one on the right is getting tore down.

swapmeet010.jpg

Yep..it's definately a working shop.

What a nice looking shop, and a great space to just hang out. I love the lights.

So both the cars are GPs? I still have my GP in pieces from blowing the motor at the begining of the race year with a chipped piston.

Very nice job on your shop! All the place needs is a bed to sleep at this point, it has everything a man needs!

Ditto on loving the lights. Where did you pick them up at. I especially like all of the pendent lights above the work areas and bar area.

Great looking garage. The Ohio guys got it going on  :lol_hitti

Lights are 8 foot HO T12's, antique pennant lights picked up at gas/oil swapmeets.

Floor is plain concrete....looking to put some type of flooring down next summer to finish the shop off. Maybe a lift also..just have to see where the budget is at the time.

Yep...we cut down a big ash tree...sent it to the kiln...and built it from scratch. It is about 12' long. Very heavy, very durable. I use the heck out of it.

It's a big ash workbench, bet your ash.
