Not to hijack, but what do you use them for? I have holders, bits, etc. in lots of sizes from buying tool collections. Haven't a clue what to use them for.
The bits won't go in my various impacts (Bosch, Craftsman, etc.) as they don't have the grooves for the end. And the bit holders, what you use them on ratchets?

these bits have groves on the edge of the shank, see in the second picture between the letter "P" and "E". the bit holder has a spring works as a detent, you have to snap it out of the holder to remove the bit.
they were from an A&P mechanic, I think. they work just like other bits, only bigger and stronger, plus, Apex makes the best bits.

Any tool truck should have one. I had to get one when we assembled the playground equipment in our city park. FYI, any hand impact driver set will also have one in it. They are usually 1/2" drive though.

Koken make these, and have 1/4" and 5/16" sockets for their 3/8" and 1/2" impact/attack drivers - bits 3138 and 4138 I think. I need the 3/8" one for my new old impact driver - only seen the 3/8" version in Japanese websites...

this may work as the female shank drive has 1/4 and 5/16 hex drives..........use one for hose clamps all the time.....
