I was watching this one for a while. I figured it would go in the $100-120 range... Still WOW!

$180.49

I will wait a few more years before I sell mine! :bounce:

Re: Snap on Clear Snap on Ratcheting wrench sells for BIG Money

Was it a promo or dealer only item or did they sell them to regular guys off the truck?

IIRC it was sold off the truck to regular customers. It is not coded as a Demo item.

Snap on needs to bring these back like they did the pink ones!!! :lol_hitti

Agreed! I have a pink one from mother's day 2010 that I'm giving my daughter someday.

Clear is pretty cool~!

I lost that auction by 50 cents! :(

BWP - interested in selling yours sooner?!

Thanks for the interest, but I need to hold on to it to pay for my Daughters college education.....

Seriously though, if I ever consider selling it I will let you know.

No doubt!

I don't get it, I really just can not wrap my brain around stuff like that. It makes my head hurt. Someday maybe I'll understand, but I doubt it.

Women+shoes=Some men+snap on.

That's the vibe I'm getting on this. If the warranty was transferable then okay (somewhat) the tool will probably be used somewhat but since it's not and even if it were it wouldn't be replaced with the same model it's like how women buy shoes and keep them in their closet.

And to think. I bought all my snap on tools to use and make money by using them. Not buying them wait a few years and re sell for triple what they cost new. Damn it I had wrong the whole time.

On another forum (for a different interest), they call this "acquisition disorder". :lol_hitti AD. It's like a sickness. Once you start buying, you buy more and more. Some guys are probably doing this as an investment.

My tools are not shelf queens. They get used and then placed on my workbench to be wiped down and put away. I can't afford to buy a tool and not use it.

I'd say you're probably right, but it hurts my brain to think about it.

I see a new clear one just got listed in the classifieds here for $180. Perhaps this thread dragged one out of storage.

Hi...first time poster here..I just picked one up locally at a swapmeet. I thought this was a interesting piece with the clear handle, did not remember seeing it on the truck.

Wow, I think this is why I just love Snap On too. Not that I have that much of it but I love what I have. I bought one of everything they made that had a yellow handle back in the early 90's. It's worth more now than what I paid.

If I ever got one of those I would be so tempted to put a light in the handle.
