I wanted to say thanks for hiball showing the flyer with the 1/2 bogo set... Mine just came in... I live in AZ but found a guy with Snapon connections on the east coast. He has been cool in the past and will hold stuff for me and or ship it to me with out a payment and is a stand up guy. No snapon guy in az would do that for a weekend guy like me and also he gives my discounts and makes an effort to get what I am looking for even used if that is what I want. 286 shipped to my door... I have craftsman and other sockets, but will make it a point to try to buy a bogo every other month from snapon because for snapon they are cheap... Now all of my impact and sockets or at least metric are all snapon with some extra sets and only sae I am lacking in snapon is 1/2 sae impact and chrome, 3/8 sae impact and 6 point chrome. I haven't really used a lot of the stuff I got but for the prices bogo's are really a good way to build up your tool stash from snap on for a good deal and it is legit(I would never ever buy stolen tools ever). Well here are pics haven't opened it yet... Waiting for the small kra metal boxes to hold this and the impact bogo I got on friday.

What makes the snapon bogo's hard to find is the fact that they aren't the same across the county some areas get the one above and some don't.... My guy said it was back orded and didn't know if he would ever get it. I wish we could get a list of flyers for around the county to see if they have sales we are looking for and could try to get....

I actually think that was a Quarterly deal, Im sure the Snappy guys can chime in. I have no problem with posting up whatever my Missouri dealer has going on, I can also assist in purchasing it for any members interested for actual costs.

If you punch in the set # 310TSMPK at snap-on.com, it comes up $295.50, so it looks like if they have stock, anybody can order online.:bounce:

This bogo is listed correct. Most of the other ones come up at list or double. Becareful if you order that way. I have checked the others and they are double for some reason, but off the truck they are correct.

Here is a perfect example... 312SIMMPK lists for $538.55, but I think the price was 330 or something like that on the truck.

$300 for 20 chrome sockets, I mean I know they look pretty but how do you justify that? I have to wonder how or why guys just starting out would buy that stuff. For that much money you can buy a "complete" chrome metric/sae socket set at Sears. Heck my $160 one had 125(?) sockets in it, I have yet to break one and you still get a lifetime guarantee. I honestly wouldn't even use something that cost that much.

It's all a matter of personal preference and what someone is willing to pay. I buy alot of Mac stuff cause I get a great deal, some guys think Mac sux, blah blah blah. I'm a DIYer and have accumulated about 5k in tools already with more to go.

Not that there's nothing wrong with buying stuff at Sears/HF/Auto Zone or where ever you buy, it's all what you want/like and what your willing to pay.

What about the techs and other people who paid list and didn't get the bogo price? Also that is 20 chrome sockets 6 point with nice chrome (my crafty don't look as nice and I really prefer the flank drive on snapon better as well) and a S80 as well, that is worth something as it is listed at 139 on the snapon site.

My father gave me some old sparta and new britain stuff he spent 50 on in the 60's... I still have it, that is a good investment and his thousands of dollars of tools(most of it snap on as well) will come to me when he dies and if I am lucky I will get a lot of them before he dies as well to use for a lifetime and pass down to my kids and or family member.

I not bashing craftsman. I have a lot of craftsman, but after using snap on there is a difference in quality technology and yes price. I have some extra money and wanted to upgrade to one of the best brands, that will last a lifetime. Sears isn't going to get any more of my money as the quality keeps going down in my eyes. I know not everyone thinks snap on is worth the money, that is up to each person to make that call. Now I am a wera, proto and snap on person moving forward as they have some of the best stuff I have used and the quality in my eyes is still there.

Yeah I just can't relate I guess. Once you use the sockets for a while they all start to look scratched up, at least mine do.

I don't think I could ever sell tools, I couldn't look at someone in their late teens or early 20's and let them buy thousands in tools when they can get by with spending 20% of that. I would have a very difficult time. Plus all sockets are flank drive nowadays.

I just got thru a series of $99 specials. I am getting a bunch of the BOGO's on sockets, ratchets and power tools right now. Honestly, I dont remember when I have had so many different tools with good promos on them at the same time.

Can we get a list of the bogos and 99$ specials? I wish snapon would just publish that stuff to help out with sales for us average guys who don't get on the trucks.

They vary from region to region and not every dealer signed up for the program. For a dealer to have these deals, he has to commit to ordering (and paying for) a sizeable amount of tools.

Obviously snap on makes enough money they don't care about the little guy but in the past year I have spent a small amount 2500 or so on new snapon tools. It would be nice if they would share the info for us guys with out a local rep who pay cash and want nice stuff.

Find a local guy and start buying a few tools from him. Anyone that spends as much as you do will find a VERY friendly dealer somewhere in your area that would be willing to meet you. Ask around at the local shops and you can find out who the better dealers are in your area and then contact one of them.

They should be able to show you the current flyers and what will be coming up in the future.

Edit: I'm out of town right now but should be able to post what is coming up in the SE region when I get back home Friday.

These also may not be available from every Snap-on man because of your dealer breaking the set to make extra profit. I had a neighbor who did this and learned it from another Snap-on dealer in the area of his territory.

I used to wonder why someone would pay so much money for a good drill bit. I mean, it's just a bit right? I picked up a 5pc set last week from Princess Auto. The larger sizes through 1". I needed to drill a few 3/4 and 7/8 holes (for a 3pth attachment I made up). I hoped the bits would last just long enough. The 3/4 bit barely lasted through the holes (had to sharpen it) and the 7/8 bit was toast after the first hole. I think the steel was harder than the bit as it was wearing grooves in it. I'd started with a small bit and was working my way through larger sizes. $25 for 5 cheap crappy bits that don't last vs > $100 for the two I needed that certainly would have done the job properly, quickly and with no frustration. Seems like my "bargain"'was not so much of a bargain in the end. You get what you pay for n

I wish I had a snap on guy locally. I have to settle from buying on ebay and snapon.com I spent maybe 5k in the last year. But this deal is smoking I have no problem ordering this online thanks.
