Can't wait to follow this project. I loooove the blend of old world/industrial age/modern and it's very hard to pull together and make it look right. That designer sure has the formula down though, his house was amazing.

Edit....I would be willing to bet that you could get some of your GJ neighbors to come down and help on a weekend.....least they could do for the priv of using GJ.

From the article:

I say creepy, because the building was used by the prior owners as a hunting lodge of sorts. They had kind of hap hazzardly built some living quarters inside and then written some anti-government messages on the walls and called it done.

a reoccuring theme in the replies are based around 'space', and whilst the shell itself is asthetically lacking, its a sound foundation with a cost effective envelope, with the only real defining limitation being imagination and objective.

There are plenty of examples within this forum that illustrate that you can create a great atmosphere that is purpose oriented, using the space effectively, without being extravagant. If you have a definitive list from the outset, with an open mind on how to blend that into the existing envelope, I think that shed has great potential.

Congrats, and look forward to seeing how you go with the transition.

I've rented a space in a metal building that was originally a ****** shop in the 1970s... I'll be leaving that building once this space is finished.
