My back hurts! I looked at the weather this morning and decided if I did not get the epoxy on today, next weekend wasn't going to be good. I did not want to get the floor wet so I opted to hand grind. Good thing I had a respirator. If you've never used a 7" on a floor, you can't imagine the dust. Once I got it grind-ed, used a leaf blower to get the dust out, I realized I could not get all the dust out of the pours. I would blow it til the leaf blower would blow clean. I could still reach down and my hand would have a dust film on it. So, I etched it and washed it. Now I'm going to play hooky from work tomorrow and apply the epoxy coat I got at Lowe's. I will try to post some pics when I find out how to resize them.

Yep that had to be a hard job, You could of used a Floor Buffer,
with a Sanding Pad,
with a Sanding Pad,

Brother, my hat's off to you.
I spent the whole weekend with two different dual head concrete grinders on 1800 sf. A total of 25 hours of machine time over 3 days and it is still not done. Rental company gave me a few hours today but I can tell already I will be on my knees doing some hand work. The thought of doing even 1200 sf by hand is amazing to me given how tired I am after just "driving" the big machine.
