As usual, the discount code does not work on Hot Buys, but it can be used alongside a bonus points coupon. It does work on Clearance, which is rare.


Fine print from shopping cart:

I think the only reason anyone would buy this, is if that coupon could be used for everything with no exclusions, and you could stack other coupons on top of it. How do I get the free coupons for 50% off $30?

Plus, I've never seen a free discount coupon that didn't exclude Hot Buys. Never even seen a free discount coupon that allowed me stack with another discount coupon.

The main difference with this one is that it does work on Clearance-marked items.

I think calling this a coupon is a little misleading. It is more of a $30 voucher for which you pay $15. <strike><span style="text-decoration: line-through;">I didn't see anywhere that Hot Buys were disallowed.</span></strike> but you do need to be a Craftsman Club member.

I stand corrected. I still don't get the negative spin on this groupon. Even if you can't stack coupons etc, you are still trading a $5 & $10 for a $10 & $20. You do need to be certain to use it before end of month.

I guess this is only good if you can find some tools to buy within one month (coupon exp. date states 10/15/2015).

The website is letting me stack the Groupon coupon with a $10/$30 points coupon (both are unique codes, so I can't share).
I get 50% off $30 worth of tools, plus I earn $10 in points. After I spend the $10 in points I earned, it means I spent $15 on $40 worth of stuff (~63% off).

I've never seen anyone provide an example of a discount coupon that works on Hot Buys and stacks with other discount coupons, so that's just wishful thinking.

You might be able to get a refund from Groupon. I've done it at least once now just after purchasing on groupon.

Ah, live and learn. I used the coupon on the chisel, punch, and alignment set. And I threw in the only item I really wanted from Cman, the hose pinch pliers.

That's probably the last item I'll ever want/need to buy from Craftsman. I've got all I really need/want and the stuff I'd like to get, down the road, is specialty stuff from other manufacturers.

I got a few sale items through that local.sears.com site at a good discount. I picked up the "Professional" 10ft shop hose for $22, which usually retails at $40. Also got a few smalls to bring the total up to $30. At checkout I got $33 worth of stuff for 15 bucks and spare points – 15 in the coupon, and 3 in points.

Coupon is available through 10/14 if anyone else is interested!

Tools coupons seem slim at the moment (the $5 off $20 coupon is on hiatus?) so now isn't a bad time if you're eyin' shy of $75 worth of stuff to use the TOOLS15 code.

Only downside now is all this junk email I'm getting from Groupon for signing up.

Don't forget that you can get 5% back through Upromise when you buy a Groupon. You may be able to get more SYWR points through a similar deal, but I have never be able to get that site to work.

Damn, some of y'all are whiners.

With <$4 in points ( which I rarely use anyway) I got the 2-piece Knipex-Cobra-rebrand set for a whopping $23 and a couple pennies, after tax ($15 for the groupon, $8.** at checkout). Net of almost 45% off, even though they sell for $40+.

I think Sears blows goats, but I'll take advantage of $12 Cobras while they're still in business.
