1990s Snap on Top box models

Greetings. Just joined to get some information. Here’s the situation:


I am an apprentice Diesel mechanic and have a really good box I got a great deal on. It’s a KR1000 snap on. It’s a little rough but way better than anything I expected to start with. I have a top box with it, model unknown to me, and I would like to get a different top box of the same vintage that’s 29” deep and 53” long with at least one full length drawer. Did snap on make a top box like this? I’ve run out of room in my box and would rather get the top box than buy a whole other box. Thanks in advance.

After 6 years of scouring the limited VT CL, I hit paydirt! Gonna look great on my KR1000!

KR1000 Secret Compartment

I am cleaning up an old KR1000 for renewed life. Does anyone know the history and purpose of that secret long compartment under the top mat? And secondly, why is 20% of it blocked off? I removed the fixed cover, and the way the lock tabs are aligned, it could be configured with the blocked...
