2 post lift help

Gentlemen I need help with my 2 post lift. I have a car on it right now and it won't come down. I released the locks and it started down as usual only it started comming down at a rate of a 1 foot in about 10 minutes. It stopped midway and won't come down any further. I have never had this problem before it always worked perfectly. Please help.

Need a little more information. Brand and model of said lift.

Without knowing the model of the lift, I’m guessing you have a plugged orifice. Did you try taking it back up a little bit? I would go up a little and then try again. If it’s still slow, you need to locate the orifice. Depends on which model you have. Some are externally mounted and some are actually inside the cylinders. Mine is the later. Could

Could be a internally failed hose as well. Sometimes they fail inside and the "flap" can act like a check valve.

Here’s a trick you can try: hold the handle fully down on your dump Valve while at the same time holding the lift button for at least 15 seconds. If there is trash or debris caught in the dump valve, this will help flush it out temporarily.
